I don't have any gripes with any genres tbh.

Finally a rational reply. If a movie is good, it's good.

    Where am I wrong?

I wasn't saying you're wrong haha. I was saying that's a lot of genres; a lot of movies you don't like because they fall under those

i hate war films but i love Inglorious Basterds, i hate westerns but i love Django Unchained

Quentin Tarantino tends to transcend genres.

They are some of my fav movies of all time and i also don't really fw war/western movies all that much either

Romantic Comedies - just cringy & corny.

The Paranormal genre in Horror - The typical Ghost haunting a family/possessing an object/possessing a kid thing is so overdone. Also most movies from that genre lack a good story & only focus on jumpscares

Comedies like The Office - I don't get the hype behind the show but I find shows that are like the Office just cringy and try to force a joke.

    Horror

Action - The only action film I’ve watched the last decade is probably mad max

    Romcom

And whatever films like lady bird fall under

so you don’t watch horror movies, action flicks, romantic comedies, or dramas...

sounds like you just hate movies

Keanu Reeves will always be a frat bro in my eyes

  • Horror, but only because it is always executed so poorly. I love the idea of it, but rarely is it executed with the subtlety and attention that it deserves. Hereditary and Get Out were great recent examples, but far too many rely on jump scares and technical codes. Most feel very low budget for me, too.
