it just is, say if one was in a particular trade and they didn't know what to do there's a bazillion videos on that platform to tell you how to do it and it can break it down to the miniscule detail.
we really take it for granted how great of a service it is (not kissing google's ass or licking their rectum). imagine someone from a hundred years ago transported to now their minds would explode with how revolutionary it is

It's apples and oranges from that. Professor Messer helped some of the s*** through college.
MGS2 moment
"Raiden, turn the game console off right now! The mission is a failure! Cut the power right now!"
Wild to think previous generations had to like go to library and read an entire book to learn about a new subject and if something needed to be fixed around the house, they literally I had to either figure it out, call a somebody, or find a book and read it then try to fix the s*** instead of just watching somebody else do it on YouTube.
We had the internet for 30 years and forget books exist
Facts lmao. Youtube can only teach so much.
No reason to not know how to cook.
The amount of free cooking game on YouTube is astonishing. Being a good cook is such an easy skill to add and the fact that it impresses people in this day and age is hilarious to me

I mean YouTube is really helpful for learning things, but we have existed as humans for thousands of years and have had most of our history and knowledge passed through books/writings. Those were magnitudes more important of a tool to human civilization as a whole.

True. But as someone who loves to read, YouTube is still more convenient for me as a visual learner

Without a doubt. I have no shame in saying a lot of things I’ve learned in life are through YouTube tutorials
