Is it wrong to say we should see music how we see movies?
Like we can watch a great movie that has racism in it, but we know the director is just telling a story
Reminds me of back when some people were blaming irl violence on Tarantino cos of his movies
But i also acknowledge that music is a lot more personal and accessible than movies so idk
i agree (and completely
disagree but that's another story) completely but i feel like moviegoers still remain in the fantasy land comfy while music listeners become ever increasingly keen to understand perspectives
He stole his username from Korean Entertainment agency "YG Entertainment" cancel him for that to
don't get me wrong dudes beating up asians because corona is wack but f*** Youtube for this
Welp, time to bump MKL
I hope you're trolling.
And even if you are it's not funny.
You need to learn what a simile is lmao.
Which is why nobody (except you) would listen to these lyrics and think they were anti black.
If you a black man, and this is anti black to you then Idk how you make it through listening to all this street rap where they talk about killing niggas, robbing niggas, f***ing other niggas b****es ,etc
So why did he apologize for this?

And to be fair to my boy, he reluctantly apologized because he was confused about how the smilie could be interpreted as disrespectful.

"The group is known for aggressive but melodic music and tackling political and anti-racist themes in their songs."

BARS!!!!!!!!
post sum anti-black songs
there is a lot of straight up neo nazi music. ie the bands skrewdriver and arghoslent
also one of the biggest genres of early popular music in early 1900s was "c*on song" which was based entirely on racism
Hm, do you think this a plan to divide humanity further?
No someone had already mentioned it ITT
Media just taking advantage of current events for clicks
the consequences don't seem to matter to them
That Jay-Z stereotype is bad and so is this YG line
Jay z explained that line was an exaggerated statement on purpose, he doesnt mean it literally
cant say much about YG tho
I think we could look at real life as a good example. When you commit a crime there's different levels (first degree, second degree, etc) and different punishments for each. It's not black and white and neither should the internet. Blanket bans don't address the issues they just censor them without anyone learning or understanding from them. With that in mind I don't think it's applying rules selectively at all. A human should review the case and judge instead of an AI or automatic system.
yea when i say they cosign em all, i’m not referring to the obscure 50 view videos in dark corners of the site that would only be caught by an ai, rather the high view clear videos that break TOS and stay up intentionally.
i believe the parallel you drew with real life crimes is false because in real life our intention is rehabilitation in addition to prevention so understanding helps a lot. i dont think youtube cares or should care about any of that if it has the ability to stamp it out entirely (not that i would be against them taking the other route)
Asians are doing the most to seem opposed, there’s a million songs about robbing niggas and Hispanic plugs
Y’all really gate keeping hate crimes now
Btw I’m not talking about the song, but just in general
Jay z explained that line was an exaggerated statement on purpose, he doesnt mean it literally

There's some truth in the Jay Z statement though. If he really said that , he was just being political. We all know Jay probably holds radical beliefs in private.
Explain how censoring this song on Youtube/Spotify will stop anti asian hate. Or do anything at all other than set an authoritarian standard for creatives
It won't but I'm not gonna sit around and defend a blatantly racist song like y'all weirdos
creatives = racism?
Here’s one that immediately comes to mind. I can literally peel of tons though lol
Not rly anti black if everyone involved with this song is black
May as well say every song about gang banging is anti black
i'm going to campaign to cancel drake for his lyric "Shout out to Asian girls, let the lights dim sum" who's with me
i'm going to campaign to cancel drake for his lyric "Shout out to Asian girls, let the lights dim sum" who's with me
kanye next
Imagine if an Asian rapper made a song about keeping your eyes out for black men on the streets cuz they might rob or kill you
That’s the equivalent to this
Hm, do you think this a plan to divide humanity further?
i'm trying to work on something that connects the rap forum posts of the late 00's thru 2010's thru to now as an extremely loose movement - not so much inspired by the actual rap bloggers of the 00's but their own personal experiences and sights

Because jews =/= african americans lmao.
Most of us have listened to rap before, we know what the f*** he's talking about when he says this. It's the same way a non-black person will say "Well black people call themselves the n word all the time so why can't I say it?" cus WE know.
Lil Wayne said "I don't f*** with niggas, call me George Bush". Is he anti black lol? Or did you just get his point.
