tiktok slid in their lane and ran off with it there's no longer a monopoly
Not really. There’s still no other platform for longform user generated video content unless you think Vimeo is a viable way to build a platform. If anything tik tok is just making them nervous hence the introduction of YouTube shorts
Now we can't differentiate click bait/troll videos with the like/dislike ratio

If tiktok allows long format videos then it's over
lol.. s*** unconsciously makes you think that everyone hates the video. Should have disabled both the like and dislike, tbh.
No lol, we need these likes to know if the video is good or not. Then you can watch and decide if the info is correct.
Content creators can already disable the likes and dislikes themselves

Even bad videos have likes though. The amount of likes are only proportionate to the engagement of the community. Likes w/o dislikes is ridiculous.
There’s an extension on Chrome that brings it back
But this sucks on the app, can’t tell when tutorial & other videos are troll and s*** videos now
Horrible decision by YouTube. There are more drawbacks to removing dislikes than benefits. Now we can’t immediately tell if a thumbnail is clickbait or not
For as much as I hate reddit thats now the Go-To for tutorials and DIY s***
Yeah this sucks. That video above is proof that the dislikes being gone doesn't help.
