I enjoyed this a lot tbh. I thought the HTATM sound was great so of course I’m not opposed to a continuation of it. Also the “old flame” line is so fire to me. A great track altogether.

Tbh Chris, the guy who co-wrote it, is part of some band whose music all sounds like that so if anything I'm putting more of the blame on him. It was clearly written back when they were touring before htatm dropped and he prob didnt feel like it was album material along with +

this is far more ballad-y and less abrasive than HTATM though

i get that about the expectations but i dont think it warrants comparisons to htatm at all and its why im surprised

like draws inspiration from entirely different places than htatm and loses the very prominent hypnagocgic / chillwave-y element
