Or at least stay up until everything starts to ship. The week everything starts to ship would be the last week to purchase this stuff. Would make me V happy
Sounds to good to be true
all this s*** is super fire but i wish balenci wasn't a part of this. to me at least the whole point of the yzy gap s*** was to bring curated quality to the masses at a somewhat affordable pricepoint. i feel like this just defeats the purpose heaaaavy. plus like come on man get more creative with the color palettes, why all black?

Got it too. I don't know what to do with it either but I will figure it out when it gets here
womens fleece jogging pants are very reminiscent of season 6 sweatpants
Yeah the grey ones look almost identical to my grey season 6 sweats

well it’s a bag so most people will probably wear it and put things in it

I feel like even if Balenci wasn't apart of it the price points would be relatively the same as what we're seeing now. I feel like the perfect hoodies were definitely like an ”essentials”. Everything that was just released was a full collection with an artistic intent like any high end designer but with much intend functionality like he's been trying with every Yeezy season. What that is is obviously up for subjective interpretation. But as for pricing I think it's what we would have got in the first place the only this that's sketchy is it all being made in Indonesia or whatever. That's what's ridiculous.
this is a Balenciaga collab
if you were expecting this to be cheap you’re an actual f***ing moron
I know, it's his choice to collab with Balenciaga and the high prices are to be expected, but these types of collabs is not what he advertised when he first partnered with Gap.
I'd be curious to see what Kanye left on the mood board for this collection. Feel like he was on a different wave prior to DONDA release and hanging out with Dema
Wasn't the whole point of the Yeezy/GAP partnership to make Yeezy affordable to the masses ? Yikes
broke boi

Did he ever say that that was his goal? Or did we just assume because we figured it was GAP?

Ahh so his PR team said it lol

he talked about getting prices to walmart levels before. i can't remember if he said that before or after the gap partnership though
pretty sure it was in an interview during JIK era with big boy
Ye need to stop associating with Balenciaga
dumbass. demna worked on yeezy season.
part of me still feels like we got DONDA all black cover because of demna and i still feel like their reunion has been a negative influence on kanye's art past LP2

How has it had a negative influence?
How has it had a negative influence?
Pre-Demna, kanye was wearing those beautiful graphic face masks and that idea morphed itself into balenciaga gimp masks which i think was a huge downgrade.
I think mowalola's gap collection has such vibrancy and an amazing colour palette that it would have been a super unique collection. the textures felt very ethereal like it was an extension of yeezy season 8 mixed with a little outerspace cowboy vibe.
i think generally demna and balenciaga's influence has pushed kanye to wearing plain balenciaga fits and adopt this all black collection with very inaccessible dystopian "balenciaga runway" fitting clothes. the gigantic elongated tees were definitely a balenciaga influence.
That 2020 era was created more organically with smaller, innovative designers like Ding and it would have been a far more interesting collection

I love the balenci collection although I was disappointed by the prices, and I don’t really like dystopian being used in a negative creative connotation here but I wish we got both collections instead of 2020 totally getting shelved . The round Jacket and perfect hoodies being the only survivors of that era is tragic
We have to acknowledge the difference in headspace Ye was in though, plus modern society being very befitting for a dystopic approach

Hmm yeah good points and I agree for the most part about Mowala. But I think people calling it “dystopian” are missing the point. I see the collection as an accurate depiction of our society. The whole collection is precarious . That’s the time we live in. It’s hyper present. I think it’s so present that is why people have a hard time coming to terms with it. Now is the time of uncertainty, of the silhouette without a face, without an identity. We’ve pushed the image of uniqueness to the point that existing as something unique is contrived and truly equal to everyone else existing as something unique. The ‘customize-your-character’ screen of popular culture is on its way out, and through the cracks the faceless and free silhouette comes crawling out, the fitting attire of those who are still engaged with a living society. But idk just my thoughts
What they had before I’m sure would have been fire. But hopefully as this pans out we see a full picture like a painting and this is just the base layer. The canvas he’s laying.
