the toilet scene with zola
The other b**** need some water ASAP
This was pretty good
Riley's acting was fire lol she's perfected that white cultural appropriator accent
I thought the ending left a little to be desired tho
I mean considering the story it’s based off of, I feel like any ending would’ve had that type of feeling
naw the twitter story kinda had a solid ending
The white girl and the pimp going to Vegas and getting caught up for murder or some s*** and Zola reading about it in the newspaper
feel like if they added that part it might have been a better ending than just driving back home

I wish they included when the pimp starting f***in ol Girl in front of the BF

taylour paige was awful in this, just smug all around, riley and colman killed it and cousin greg was nice
visually the best looking film all year, that 35mm looked amazing and gave the entire thing a dreamy look
ending was so stupid and abrupt lmao what was that? felt like it was written by a film student who didn't know what to do so they make it ambiguous thinking it makes it all good
solid movie though and the comedic timings were on point
i havent seen this yet (lol) but I heard the director on a podcast and she was asked abt the ending being unsatisfying so even tho i try to go into films as cold as possible i looked up how it ended
does seem unsatisfying but her and the screenwriter's explanation of what they were trying to accomplish made sense intellectually. i guess once i see the film i will actually know how i feel lol
i find the writer saying that he and Bravo had the idea for the film to end with "a "cinematic montage" of Black-white female friendships"
i just saw Bamboozled by Spike Lee and the very ending is a very similar thing with footage of cinematic and TV minstrelsy throughout the ages
i think their idea could have worked in this film (which, again, i haven't even seen lol)
Wtf was the ending? They ran outta budget? It was going so good
Also dat thicc white b****

I don't know if I blame taylour or the script. her character was just a bystander, didn't have much to do but make faces at people
this was decent tho. style over substance and considering how popular that twitter thread was I wonder if them going the more 'artsy' route kind of alienated a potential fanbase for this.
either way the movie looks great and there were a lot of cool ideas in it

Funniest movie of 2021 by far
Always knew Coleman was on another level when it came to acting but goddamnnnnn he stole the show on this one
his nigerian accent was woeful

omdz when she came on screen sophie hall she was so bad seeing her in the theatre big screen my heart did a somersault almost fell out my chair my friend isnt into thickies so dont think he understood my reaction
I think it’s time to start putting Mica Levi’s name in the GOAT composers list
THIS she really captured the vibe and feel i assumed the music was made by a new trap producer by they'd just made it more sparse was shocked hearing it was her the same person that did 'under the skin' (which is also great btw) even the stock sounds worked so well to her
