"To be honest, just to keep it real with you, G.O.O.D. Music is not really a thing,” she reveals. “Like, nobody works for G.O.O.D. Music. They don’t even exist. To be honest, I worked with Def Jam. Nobody works at G.O.O.D. Music, you know? So it’s really Def Jam, which has a legacy in itself.”

this reads funny af
Ye really had
Pusha
Q Tip
Common
on one imprint
this alone should’ve done damage
Add Sean, Cudi & Legend & I really don’t see how they lost so much momentum
all 3 of those last artists drop mid these days tho

They did do damage. Niggas old b lmao

Yeah but look at the state of GOOD now
these days they don’t have the close knit camp they use to have
or maybe it was just a façade all along
They did do damage. Niggas old b lmao
They definitely did but they had a roster of longevity acts
they should still be thriving

na im sayin that maybe those 3 last artists droppin mid is what killed the momentum
i dunno if the timeline of their mid + all the new artists gettin signed lines up well but i feel like whatev album john legend dropped in 2016 was very obviously mid
i decided was good imo but was a lot more hit or miss than dark sky
and cudi had just released speedin bullet in 2015......
I been to the good music HQ it was an empty office with a poster of this on the wall

Oh yeah I feel you
It did seem like there was a certain moment when GOOD started to collapse
everything you stated were factors for sure, also Ye not keeping good relations with any of the OG roster besides Pusha
Idk what his relationship with cyhi is or has ever been tbh he don’t talk about him much which is weird cause Ye talks a lot
I been to the good music HQ it was an empty office with a poster of this on the wall
Even in this pic cyhi is no where to be found but instead 2 Chainz who wasn’t even official signed to Ye
I ain’t mad at 2 Chainz edition tho, he definitely brought heat
Been known
They definitely did but they had a roster of longevity acts
they should still be thriving
If you’re label relying on Ye keeping old niggas hot it’s bound to fail.
They needed youth. Chose the wrong youth.

That’s the problem with their mentality if it was that anyway
Common
Tip
Pusha
never needed to be hot, they were established acts already without Ye. He should’ve just focused on doubling down on their brand & career path
He chose the wrong youth part is definitely where he messed up as well

cudi, big sean are the wrong youth?
Valee left a long time ago
Did he fr?
Dude was so ill man, he could have been on top of the game if he signed literally with anyone else besides Ye smh
GOOD still had some level of like camaraderie until Kanye’s mental breakdown which was 2016? They did summer jam too that year.
What was GOOD music’s most random addition?
I’ll go first,
Ryan McDermott
This s*** dope af
Smd u sum corny ass Kanye fan
U need to let go pal
God sees u be a b**** everyday and feels bad for giving you too many beta male chromosomes
Ur human waste & I oughta trash you all over this site
But ima 1st give u the opportunity to Stop trippin over me and Go trip over ur moms life support cable instead
damn bruh, posts on a forum are never that serious
u should really apologize, living with all that hate in ya heart is toxic
The main problem with GOOD is the actual talent on the roster.
All the niggas ya equate to the label is old niggas. Common, John Legend, Pusha T, Big Sean, Cudi all established artist that don’t actually need GOOD and already got clouted up. They did a great job wit them niggas if you ask me. They even saved Teyana Taylor from the abyss.
The newer talent either trash or just iite. Valee, Sheck Wes, 070 Shake, Desiigner. The A&R doodoo butter over there. Thats not a roster to keep your company afloat b. I think they should be thankful to even say they on GOOD tbh lmao
