The whole world would’ve clowned Kendrick if this album wasn’t a classic. Idk how Kendrick is able to deliver classic works under high pressure. he’s done this multiple times.

Classic and an amazing way to top off one of the greatest year a rapper has ever had

The only criticism I can understand for this album is that there is no overt overarching concept like there is in his first five studio albums. For a Kendrick Lamar album, I can understand going in with that expectation. There are definitely themes consistent throughout the album, but there isn’t a clear or well-defined concept.

With that being said, if you enjoy rap music and can put that pre-conceived expectation aside for what a Kendrick Lamar album should be, I really don’t understand how you couldn’t enjoy this album. The rapping is amazing, the beats knock, it’s short and concise and straight to the point. Genuinely don’t see what the faults would be here besides maybe some of the hook writing (but Kendrick has generally always took a more simplistic approach to his hooks his entire career, it’s not something specific to GNX)

I'm a big fan of the album and this is subjective but another thing you can add to that is the production. When he dropped the snippet and you hear these beautiful strings it was kinda disappointing to see that the actual album did not sound like that at all.

Sonically, I think GKMC and TPAB is still the best s*** he put out. I feel like if his next album sounded like that GNX snippet it would probably by my favourite album from him
