You didn’t answer my question, why didn’t the policeman resort to other ways to de-escalate the situation? Like using a taser or trying to restrain the girl
Tasers only work like 60% of the time because they’re a relatively low velocity projectile and both darts need to hit and latch on for it to work. They aren’t very accurate and there are a lot of things that can go wrong, like one of the darts hitting clothes and then falling out.
They’re meant to be utilized to incapacitate someone before a situation gets to this point. They aren’t a substitute for a gun in split-second situations.

So there’s a movie theater near the Walmart. Apparently the group of girls were at the movie theater and saw that this girl they didn’t like due to boy drama was at Walmart. The girl who did the killing called her mom and asked her mom to drive them to Walmart so they could jump this girl, and the mom drove them and waited in the car for them
Apparently when the daughter told her mom she had stabbed the girl, the mom brought her to the police station. I’m not sure the exact timeline cause there was a video of her bragging about stabbing the girl but I didn’t see the video so idk if she was doing that in the car or in the store or what. But the girl wasn’t in jail for very long, within a week or two she was posting Tik Tok dances
Idk what’s going on with it as far as if she’s going to be tried as an adult or anything

Apr 23, 2021·1 replyTheoryThis seems like a suicide by cop situation. I think police should really need to be trained in ways to properly handle mentally ill people. Shooting somebody because they have a knife, while they are many feet away from you and there is nobody else around them, that doesn’t make sense. And the argument will obviously be “well he pulled out a weapon on a cop”, and yeah obviously you shouldn’t do that, you know the consequences. But the cop could’ve taken steps back, tried to deescalate, tried to reason with him, use a taser, etc etc.
That’s the whole thing bro. It’s not even about the officer defending himself it’s about abusing power and automatically resorting to lethal force

We were talking about a different video posted ITT, of a guy being shot in the head by a cop because he refused to drop a knife. He was t near anybody or lunging towards anybody, cop was a safe distance away.

That’s not justified, taser should be used. As long as he isn’t trying to attack anyone then he shouldn’t have been shot.

See video in the tweet right above this post. She just attacked the girl on the ground, then runs straight from that girl to to the girl in pink against the car. From the body cam footage you can see the knife in her hand and moving towards the girl in pink. She was definitely trying to stab the girl. And from that security camera footage, you can see that she wasn’t using the knife in self defense. She may have been getting jumped earlier, but at that moment she was instigating the violence
