WOW!!! I read this whole thread and must say that I have heard some increadable stuff!

    ALBUM REVIEW:
First off, I REALLY like the album! It's not perfect, but I feel it is honest and refreashing. The tracks are deep and the songs are SONGS! They aren't just loops with someone rhyming. Many of the songs have HEART, and that is what is missing from alot of Hip-Hop albums lately.

    REVIEW OF REVIEWS:
Now many hear seem to not like the album and that's cool, but to hate because he has help is ridiculous! The role of producer is not to do everything and play every sound! You would think people into Hip-Hop music (not just rap) would understand this as Hip-Hop music was born from sampling!

    TO THE HATERS!
I think many are put off by his arrogance (yes he is arrogant), but what does that matter when listening to the music? Jay-Z is arrogant but he's hot and one of the best MC's of current times. STOP THE HATE!!!

    KANYE'S COMMENTS ON TV
And finally about his comments toward the hurrican and Bush. I AGREE COMPLETELY!!! Bush had the nerve to call what happened "a minor disruption!" BIG PROPS TO KANYE FOR HAVING THE HEART AND BALLS TO SAY THIS ON TV! And yes, Bush is a closet racist!

these type of posts are always so cute and nostalgic

Well, there is one thing that is crystal clear. There are an abundance of haterz on this forum. It's funny how people learn a few tricks on the MPC, and now they are the authority on what hip-hop should sound like. Some of the comments I have read in this post are just completely ridiculous.
Someone said that he didn't flip samples enough. Sometimes a sample should not be flipped!! Period. How many times have I heard some trash on this site where some herb tried to chop a loop and it sounded just horrible. If the beat sounds good who cares if he flipped it.
Somebody else said he should have stuck with an MPC and ASR. And someone else is objecting to him using help on his album. There is no one person out there who can do everything. Even the all time greats get help on their projects. That's just the way it is. Yall forget that "Reminsice", arguable one of the best hip-hop songs ever was an assist (from what I hear, the Large Proffesor gave Pete Rock the sample if you did not know). Does this make "Reminisce" any less of a great song? NO!!
This album is tight period, it IS hip-hop at it's purest form. Do you people actually listen to music? I don't believe many of you are. If you did you would see that Kanye gave us an album that is A. tight musically, B. real hiphop music, C. drops some knowledge on a few tracks if you actually listen. I could understand if you are just not feelin his style, but to say that dude has no talent is bull**. I can only sum this up to being hate. It kills yall that many of yall bang on your MPC every night, chop your samples to mince meat, are key-style champion on your forum, and unfortunately for you, you will NEVER attain what Kanye has, or even get a record deal. NEVER (even though you got Jon blaze **) EVER!!!*

Lmao their posts are so simple its kinda goofy. “some bangers on here but he puts too much extra s*** on the end of songs” 😂

    it’s 2005

  • May 24, 2020

i don’t know why people expect the opinions in that forum to be wildly different

we already know people didn’t think kanye could follow up after CD.

i feel like people on here believe kanye used to be looked at more positively but it was just the same and he did say a lot of s*** back then. not justifying the comments either.

Hopped on yandhileaks when Gods Country got announced and peeped a post about this.

Interesting s***. Some of the later posts cooking him though

"I feel the cd is creative....some of y'all r just plain ole hatin' member kanye started like many of us a mp,roland1680,asr....so I'm proud of dude.no you can't please everybody, but money talks.as far as help goes that shows he's smart enough to know when he needs it and is not too proud to ask for it(learn a lesson).not only that if he ask one of us for help we would be calling all over the place lettin' everybody we 'bout to fly out to HELP mr.west, but since its not you, he dont get your respect.what will they say about you when and if you get to that level! this cd goes far beyond hiphop, which by the way is seldom heard on radio(royalties).lyrically he's making since, plus I can understand him,it's not all bounce with me plus he's being him,not a studio gangster!!! big ups kanye."

    "I really like the album

It is nice to know, that someone, that is similar to the rest of us, can blow up & get paid

beats are excellent, especially "heard 'em say" ill sythn breakdown

    I hate the nas track

I think, that kanye finds a sample, then gets someone to recreate it, and habd him a multitack version of the original 2 track sample.

I wish i could do that.

ya'll are being to hard on him

as of right now, I like college dropout better.

kanye, if anything, has been real consistant
with the beats, and his antics

he doesn't try to front, he just be's himself

I think alot of the hate stems from jealousy"

this is a producer forum so I now I get why niggas were so hard on him
    they wish they were him

personally think that producers like Mannie Fresh and Jazzie Pha have more talent in thier pinky fingers than Kanye has period. At least they not only concept everything, but they also play everything they own dammselves. Kanye is going to self destruct.....mark my words. Not everybody is built for fame.

    Boy was he wrong

“how could kanye top college drop out. In my opinion the new album seems a little stale. Seems to be missing the magic I heard on the first kanye album. Doesn't quite pull me in. PLus kanye seems like twice as corny on this. maybe if i force fed it down my throat for a week or two i could like it.”

Y’all sure this isn’t about JIK?
