That boy good
Shake these nuts b****
The issue is not that this person will not be eventually exploited by someone, the issue is that you don't have to be the one doing the exploiting. Because as i've told you before, the moment you enter this relationship as their exploiter, you have put your self in a scenario where their interests come into direct contradiction with theirs. therefore, no matter how much you may want to see yourself as helping them, or doing the right thing etc., you are not, and when it comes down to it all that will matter is that your interests as the landlord are fulfilled.
So in our current society what will someone do if they cant afford a house and there werent any landlords?
You act like being a landlord comes with 0 risk. What happens if the unit gets destroyed? What happens if theres issues in the unit? I completely disagree with tenants being exploited the way you describe it. Thats not how it works.
Morons influencing morons yes I agree but again you’re categorizing it in a positive way when in all reality it’s the polar opposite
Idk why youve been led to believe its only one idealogy that that works on
@gyro @DonJulio @First_Take
yall up to date on jujutsu kaisen?
I started reading the manga so im ahead of the anime but not caught up yet
Ok but dawg you’ve been doing this for several years let’s say
Every 3 months you rail against capitalism
If you changed one mind every 3 months that’s 4 per year.
I’ve watched you do this for 5 years now prolly
That’s 20 people over 5 years? And can you honestly say choice changed 20 minds ITT?
So just call it what it is, mental masturbation.
so where do you draw the line on this? surely the owner should make more because he does more no? what is the correct split?
also as a separate conversation do you place any value on someone having an idea and seeing it through to create some sort of invention or business? surely that intellectual property has some sort of value and the risk and work done to bring it to life deserves some level of compensation no?
I can get down with some socialist ideas for sure, but you're losing me on this one.
the owner doesn't really do more tho. labor is the source of wealth, if he is not laboring, he is not creating wealth. in your scenario about the baker businesses, you seem to be confused that im saying differences in pay are the cause of exploitation but thats not what im saying.
lets say you work there as an employee
over the course of the day you make 100$ worth of goods. a fair wage is 100$. your boss, because you said he contributes the exact same as the worker, would also get 100$. but you said he also has logistical measures. so lets say the labor he puts into those is worth 100 as well. so your boss makes 200 a day. no one is exploited, people were paid fairly for their labor.
the issue is, your boss needs to make a profit. therefore, he cannot pay you 100$. lets say your wage is 100$ still. but now lets say you make 100$ worth of goods in 2 hours. for the rest of your workday, you are working for free. your boss is is extracting surplus value from you so that they can make a profit. the wage is not fair. this is the source of the exploitative relationship, not a mere difference in pay.
No. Online politics was a big factor in the 2016 election
yeah but that's based on the influence of people with a real (or at least perceived) platform and following. conversation on a forum where everyone is an equal is going to be a pretty unproductive back and forth almost all of the time.
I do try to understand others perspectives and learn through these conversations but I definitely feel like I'm in the extreme minority and most of the political convos on this site or any site are unproductive back and forths.

You know that if there weren't any landlords, it wouldn't be our current system right
The internet literally got companies sending out emails about how they dont actually hate black people in June idk how you can only think internet politics is just trump supporters convincing more people to be trump supporters
You know that if there weren't any landlords, it wouldn't be our current system right
You’re not getting it
Anyways i refuse to enter any conversations about the economy/capitalism moving forward
You’re not getting it
Oh I am. You don't think you being a landlord is exploitative, i'm telling you that you're wrong, because you are profiting off of the labor of others. But you think this is alright, because hey others do it.
Watch us lose and he gets all the blame even if it’s at no fault of his
confident we will win but he will definitely catch all the blame if we dont
I started reading the manga so im ahead of the anime but not caught up yet

I think its okay until the system changes. Its not ideal but im trying to benefit from the circumstance
