greenwald did a lot of important reporting about the NSA but a lot of it is hollow in retrospect. he was accepting money from billionaires and The Intercept was just a front from money wires from big donors, despite the claims that The Intercept was somehow different than other media sites which did the same thing. He & the intercept as a whole were primarily financed by Omidyar (eBay Founder) for years on end. Despite Glenn purporting to be a "real journalist" who was "struggling to survive and dedicating his life to his work", documents show he was paying himself salaries of $500k-1M+ a year. Also further despite lots of other claims, Glenn and his connected firms have received tons of funding from similar billionaire-connected networks. His recent pivot to Thiel funding isn't surprising considering his entire career has been financed in some manner through these types of rich bourgeois networks. While I can't complain about his coverage of stuff on the NSA or similar itself, it's all a lot more cynical in retrospect knowing a lot of this about funding

I’ve heard of people mention the subreddit but I’ve never actually seen it. I went to it and they seem pretty par the course for internet leftist circles, I mean they literally have pinned posts advertising Chapo (lmao). The only thing they seem right wing on is anti-trans stuff. There’s upvoted posts praising AOC, s***ting on cops, anti-fascist posts, and the language they’re using (“chuds btfo”) seems to be what I’d see on like Twitter or something. There’s also just pro China posts which obviously aren’t a nazbol thing. I don’t know if I’m missing something or if you mean they’re nazbol just because of the anti-trans rhetoric there
