While the main difference is in MTG’s case she’s trying trying to deify someone for clear political reasons (lioinizing an incident vs exploiting a victim), I think similar types of exploitative personhood are comparative if you look at both as disingenuously means of peddling a certain party image. On the surface level they’re all cheering for Kyle and whatever, but at the end of the day it’s only because he’s useful to them and want to exploit his associated media zeitgeist, if he said one wrong thing they’d drop all support for him as well overnight
