I think the worries about him speaking or slipping up were BS anyways. His off handed comments the past couple of years were worrying though...

my cousin said Bloomberg gave a good speech and I spazzed on her

It's not necessarily just his gaffes. He's also usually just a very slow, uninspired, slurry speaker. But tonight was great because he was clear and sounded passionate.

First time hearing him speak at length, and while it doesn't suddenly turn him into a good candidate, you guys really had me believing he couldn't string two sentences together

  • All things considered, Biden knocked it out of the park. Everyone was expecting him to stumble or flub and he was solid. Had actual energy and sincerity. Next week Trump will struggle to even feign emotion as he reads off the teleprompter.

The same s*** happened when he debated Bernie one on one lmao

Everyone was hyping up how Biden is going to sound like he has Alzheimer’s, and he ended up being completely fine, while Bernie went on a rant about “Ebola” instead of covid.

He is definitely prone to f***ing up during speeches and appearances, but a lot of the dementia stuff was very clearly right-wing propaganda. The funny thing about KTT is that the hardcore leftists post more GOP talking points and s***ty takes from pro-Trump twitter accounts than the actual Republicans here.

A lot of it has to do with the contrast of temperament between him and Trump.

Obv. they're both flawed but DT is unhinged,

I do think people are overselling his "progressiveness" for the sake of the election and to get voters but it's not like people have to stop speaking out and protesting and other stuff for the issues that are important for them.

Idk what you'd prefer happens right now though. It's refreshing to hear someone speak coherently when we've had 4 years of literal rhetorical mush coming from the current office holder

Prob speechwriters adding that in to portray sympathy to racial injustice, whether thats genuine on his part or not

Not really hard to understand why people appreciate what Biden is saying right now considering the f***in idiot we've had in office the past four years

Whether or not u think it's genuine, it still sounds a lot better

This lol. At the very least Biden isn’t gonna be tweeting out racial dog whistles. Of course he’s a phony, but at least keeping up his facade means good things might get done instead. Trump keeping up his facade means the president co-signing white supremacists

No, but at least he is a moderate during a time where progressives are more influential than ever

Meaning he may be more open to do progressive things. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than wondering what fascist policy is next, or what hate group is going to be co-signed next
