I swear to God, if Trump and the GOP manage to circumvent the popular vote and have the SCOTUS re-elect Trump, those f***ers houses are gonna burn.

Oh boy, oh boy, they thought Minneapolis and Portland were riots...

    Especially if it’s a blowout.

Like, can you imagine how people are gonna react if Biden blows Trump out of the f***ing water, only for Trump and the GOP to get SCOTUS to say “Nah, doesn’t count. Trump wins.”

That’s the end of democracy in America. They would literally be committing a country ending act in the most heavily armed country on the f***ing planet.

And they’d be royally pissing off most of its populace.

Also, as an added fact, SCOTUS is supposed to tackle the ACA after the election, so on top of all of that millions of people are likely to lose their health insurance, in the middle of a f***ing pandemic.

I can't imagine a worse scenario than this.

Hell, GOP is openly strategizing appointing legislators in place within the electoral college who are willing to ignore the popular vote in their respective states.

Meaning even members of the electoral college could possibly just change their vote despite their state’s choice.

Wonder if everyone here who refuses to vote for Biden likes the idea of having Trump dictate a pandemic without feeling any need to appeal to any voters whatsoever, headed by a GOP senate who will absolutely not agree on any sort of COVID relief bill, and a Supreme Court who could potentially strike down state’s ability to instate mask mandates or initiate lockdown/state at home orders.

Also, the federal government will be in charge of vaccine distribution, and Trump and AG Barr are already threatening to withhold federal funding to democratic cities, so who’s to say they won’t do the same with a vaccine?

Hell, who’s to say Trump won’t further f*** with the FDA and CDC so we won’t even know if whatever vaccine we do get is viable (since the US is, like, the only major country who isnt part of the WHO’s international conglomerate to find and distribute a viable vaccine worldwide, meaning said vaccine could arrive late in America).

Also, say goodbye to healthcare, and hello to a guaranteed economic depression with no hope of relief.

And absolutely zero hint of climate policy, in fact, the opposite is likely to occur.

im not sure what you mean by circumvent the popular vote. the popular vote & the electoral college are different. you can win one but not the other, which has happened multiple times before (like 2016). do you mean cheat on plurality votes?

I mean there are talks of GOP instating loyalists who could appoint members of the electoral college who will vote against the consensus of their respective state.

    Faithless electors.

Also, I mean, at the very least it’s pretty safe to say Biden will win the popular vote, he’s well ahead of Hillary at this point in time, and he’s the favorite to win, so chances are he’d get both.

On the plus side, maybe that would finally wake people up to the fact that the Electoral College is complete dumpster fire
