For an incumbent President, that is arguably the most important factor according to economic models with a track record of predicting who wins the White House. New stock market high almost every day, lowest unemployment rates for black/hispanic people, etc. The USMCA and China trade talks will help in 2020.

Right? Trying to tell people this in this forum but they don't get it. People really only care about the economy and if it's doing fine Democrats can say whatever they want and I think everyone has grown tired of China trying to take over the US economy. People want jobs not welfare because if you have a stable well-paying job you can take care of your own welfare just fine in this country imho.

He has a higher disapproval rating than the candidates, yes but that's just one side the media is telling. He also has more than double the approval rating of any of the candidates. He has raised more than all of the candidates combined. I'm on the left but honestly I'm just reading the signs and the sentiment and it's not in favor of Democrats rn because nobody's getting excited for these candidates.

You realize how irresponsible it is to use fundraising numbers for an incumbent vs candidates in a primary that are effectively splitting donations?

What do you guys think of Pete Buttigieg. I think his past as basically a CIA officer is highly suspect and then all out the blue his polling numbers are going up? I don't get why Copmala dropped out. She's not the best candidate but I can think of 6+ candidates who should have dropped out before her.

kamala dropped out because her campaign was absolutely bombing and she had no chance of climbing back up, she was hemorrhaging money and closing offices nonstop, and the establishment support moved from her to Buttigieg.
buttigieg is an absolute asshat who I can't stand on any level. I'd painstakingly take biden over him (and that's saying a lot because i very much dislike biden). Guy is completely fabricated, and he embodies everything wrong with current US politics especially in the DNC. He's going up because he appeals to a lot of semi-moderate boomers who are off social media and mainly watch outlets like CNN/MSNBC who want "change" but "just enough change that we can call it change without doing anything really".
