Is there anyone that with Corona hindsight actually still doesn't realize Yang was objectively the best choice for our country? This whole pandemic is just going to accelerate the f*** out of all the problems that he talked about (which he was the ONLY one talking about)

    Good lord lol

How is that important to the job of president at all...

Id much rather let someone who specializes in tech worry about tech and let the president stay in their lane.

Not at all saying they have to specialize in tech. Literally just asking for someone that understands how to use it at a proficient level. This is literally like saying "how is it important that the president understand the healthcare system.. id rather let someone who specializes in it worry about it" (although if you're a trump supporter that's likely your mindset anyways)

also how do you know these guys don’t know tech? Just cause they’re old they can’t use an iphone like you lol

If you listen to any of them when they're asked anything about technology, it's extremely clear they have no idea what they're talking about

Im just not really sure how this vague concept of “tech” you’re using applies to the presidency.

It is abundantly clear how healthcare legislation relates to the president’s job.

i want a president who can build a minecraft piston door

Have u been paying attention to society for the last 20 years?.... in the next decade modern technologies (whether machine automated workers, social media, cyberattacks, etc) will cause as many if not more problems for the american people as healthcare (and no i dont have a source for this and no im not gonna go find one. Just pay attention to the world around u lmfao). U don't think it's important to have a leader that at least can understand what's going on with those things?

automation is not a bigger threat than the healthcare crisis

if healthcare is not guaranteed then UBI would only increase profiteering

Not talking about just automation & not at all talking about UBI as the solution (read my post right above u, technology poses a ton of threats that aren't automation)

i don't disagree with the guy, but to be fair, two things - first multiple representatives have introduced resolutions and/or bills but they don't seem to have been voted on or even brought to the floor yet. second, they're kind of dependent on waiting on the Senate Bill right? I imagine many senior house members are probably hesitant to vote on or propose anything prior to the introduction of the Senate Stimulus/Reaction Bill(s) so there's no conflict. Keep in mind it was supposed to have been finalized already, but the Senate can't agree on anything so it's being delayed, which in turn has affected the house too

don’t necessarily disagree with anything you said which i why i think bro made a point of not putting blame on any one person, just moreso accenting the failings of the system as a whole

still, as much as i understand wanting to wait for federal guidance before proceeding forward - it’s clear that’s not coming. local and state governments need to act now

Yeah, I don't disagree with you or him. Bureaucratic Democracy is already a weak system and its strain is especially shown during a time of crisis. I definitely agree state and local governments need to start acting soon, but one issue is they've had a lot of powers they need stripped away and handed to the federal government (or state). For example, Di Blasio wanted to do a shelter-in-place in NYC, but doesn't have that power, and Cuomo didn't want to do a state-wide shelter in place. This is happening on a 1000x scale when you consider ever contesting issue between local and state and state and federal government right now.

They just need to implement voting by mail. They still need to have a nominee by this summer.

really wish they'd go ahead with that one Trump remark about nationalizing companies that received bailouts. would be a dream come true. hope they at least make stock buybacks illegal
