Again I’m lookin at this s*** from the perspective of day of the draft, not retrospect. 2003 is the only draft of the ones you mentioned that I was old enough to remember what the scouting reports were saying in the lead up to the draft, and even then I barely remember. Just doing a quick search tho, D Wade wasn’t even considered a lock to be a top 5 pick in mock drafts.
Of the drafts I was old enough to be paying attention to the scouting tho, this has definitely gotta be at the top (in terms of projected top 5 at time of the draft)

I mean I can respect that, but I guess I just take the opposite point of view since 2 teams (Hawks and Suns, minus CP3) that got to the conference finals this year have super young squads.
And in general I feel like there is a lot more parity now than there’s been in a longggg time, which I really like

The only area that you can critique Mobley on is his strength, and that’s so much easier to improve than ball handling, passing, shooting, scoring in the paint, shooting free throws, playing defense on the perimeter, shot blocking...and Mobley does all of those exceptionally well
