Yeah this is just conjecture, but a lot of those places were getting small amounts maskless/no social distancing business a few months back... In Texas for example and presumably other states/counties they had a mask mandate as well that was lifted and also many more unvaccinated people likely(dumb MAGAs) are gathering more and more and that steadily started to increase... A lot of places like movie theaters that have been open are still not getting anywhere near the same business although it's picking up some more now.... And also remember people could catch it and take upto a couple weeks to show symptoms or catch it and have no symptoms then pass it on to someone else who gets symptoms.
