I'm sure it'll be popping up, maybe just not as much.
In Rough Trade's case, only 4 out of 20 acts are American. So they likely just highlight more folks from their side of the world.
Not a huge Vampire Weekend fan myself but it's one of their better albums IMO, and I really enjoyed "Classical"
So many good jams. "Mary Boone" is my personal favourite

I know some of these publications are SCRAMBLING to rework their lists after this week's events.
Cindy Lee about to be all over these lists without even being available to stream, s*** might already be a cult classic.
I need to eventually dig into it some more lol, this winter when I'm locked in the crib for sure.
Fontaines cleaning house
Definitely my #2 behind Kendrick
Definitely one of my favorite rock releases this year, the singles are so good. "Starbuster" is the clear star, but I get lost every time I hear "In the Modern World."

i see they're trying to balance this list out by getting some absolute bangers and also wanting to promote the most popular albums on their platform

Yeah I did play it a few times. The first 3 tracks on it almost make you think it's the R&B AOTY. That's because Tricky, JD, and B. Cox are involved. Then it becomes more of a mixed bag. Solid though.
I listened to her R&B Money episode recently, really enjoyed her. She had interesting thoughts about shying away from being more of a traditional "singer" as far as all of the vocal techniques that go with that.
