If he doesn’t win it this time I don’t think he could ever win it tbh.
Took Beyonce 21 years to win it, it’s never too late
We as fans and outsiders can ask every year “why do people still care about the Grammys” but the fact of the matter is they’ll always have relevance as long as they’re important to artists on a widespread level
Yes the award doesn’t actually “mean” anything but for many artists it’s an acknowledgment of their art being validated whether we like it or not
They only say that because they favorite rapper been snubbed in certain years (and rightfully so but that’s a convo for another day)
A lot of good R&B albums this year
I expect:
LANA
Hearts Sold Separately
Hurry Up Tomorrow
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U
Sincerely,
Maybe the Bieber album...
Swag will probably still get classified as a pop album sadly

Yep. It deserves some R&B nomination. Maybe for a song. It’s as great as any of the other albums I mentioned.
would be cool to see a hip hop album win AOTY but i really feel like that should go to Bad Bunny

Why should they give AOTY to an album where majority of the people don’t know Spanish
never in my life predicting abel winning s***, but republic might buy this. he's their poster boy this year
That s*** is not happening
Why should they give AOTY to an album where majority of the people don’t know Spanish
?
Why should they give AOTY to an album where majority of the people don’t know Spanish
because sound and rhythm are a universal language. there are a majority that wont be able to understand the dialect & slang from one of the biggest hip hop albums of the year
are you insinuating only english speaking albums should win/be nominated?? lol
Why should they give AOTY to an album where majority of the people don’t know Spanish
1. Music is a universal language. You don’t have to understand the lyrics to appreciate and enjoy an album.
2. The US is not a monolingual country. 14% of the population is Spanish-speaking, which equates to about 60 million people. That’s no small number.
3. Bad Bunny is a megastar in the US. He had the highest selling album of 2022 in the US, and has the fourth-highest selling album of 2025.
4. Bad Bunny is a US citizen by birth. Saying that the Grammys shouldn’t award a Spanish-speaking album because the majority of US residents don’t speak Spanish is just dumb because the artist who made the album is legitimately an American citizen, why shouldn’t his art be awarded a fair shot at the Grammys?

I understand how my comment sound ignorant. @NoFace
But I really can’t see how y’all see this album winning over GNX???
Yes, Latin artists should have a fair shot to win it.
The album got so many sales, yeah, but what do people say about the album that makes me people feel like it’s album of the year worthy.
Which is why I side-eye your first point? Yes, music is a universal language, but the context always matters. Lyrics have the power to impact the listener positively and negatively. It can create movements and change.
So again, I’m curious what makes Bad Bunny’s album so impactful that it deserves AOTY.

The album is a love letter to Puerto Rico, and it’s extremely timely with the political climate this year and how Hispanic people are being spoke about in the media and treated by the government

I was curious. The only non-English speaking albums that have won AOTY are Getz/Gilberto, and Santana's Supernatural (which had some English songs mixed in).
Hoping for tyler to finally get a album of the year nom, I know Kendrick will sweep, but it'd still be cool to see

I’m guessing the rap album that also gets an album of the year nom will be the one that also wins rap album of the year.
Happened in 2023 with Mr Morale
playboi carti is winning a grammy.
would be a massive stain on the genre & the Grammy’s if it did
laziness cannot and should not be rewarded
