Kendrick winning a lot (and in non hip-hop categories) is a good thing not a bad thing. But I don’t think you’re a loser if you are an artist who doesn’t embrace the Grammys based on their history.

I’ve been saying for years that the Grammys needs to split Rap into Best Traditional Rap Album and Best Contemporary Rap Album. The genre is way too diverse and wide-reaching for it all to be stuffed into one all-encompassing category. If other genres can be split into two, there’s no reason rap shouldn’t be at this point
