The non fight scenes (70% of the show) were some c tier s***. Was almost neo yokio tier, neo yokio was funny atleast
How was the animation trash? That’s one of the best things about the show you’re tripping. The pacing of it and writing was terrible tho.

Mr MotionFinished this up earlier today. The show is just mediocre overall. It has a lot of cool individual elements, but mixing them all together just didn’t work out, in 6 episodes. According to some Flylotus tweets they might be able to do more.
I think it’s a show that would’ve been better received in like mid 00s. I think your average anime has improved a lot in the last decade from back then. This was just very mid tier in today’s arena. I don’t think it was bad, just unremarkable. The most accurate criticism is that it’s mixing too many things together with no rhyme or reason. Like I love mechs, and I love were-animal powers, do I necessarily want to see them together? Not really, but if it was presented in a way that works I’d be all for it. This just wasn’t it.
Overall I’d give this a 6/10. The animation was good. Nothing particularly forward genre pushing, but it was legitimately good imo. Anyone criticizing it is just being pedantic.

aight maybe I didn't pay attention but its like the end of ep4. Yasuke enters some crazy castle with hella guys to kill. was that a flashback? did I miss something? how'd he get there and why, and how come he got back like its nothing beginning of the next episode?

1. It’s not made by Flying Lotus. It’s made by LeSean Thomas. Flying Lotus just made the soundtrack. He had no involvement with the actual story.
2. You have had to have only seen mainstream anime to think that anime is nothing but mechs and weird stuff. There are anime that are dramas, and historical recounts out there.
3. Even for a supernatural anime, this is a bland af supernatural anime that doesn’t properly explain how powers work in this world, and doesn’t even make an attempt at worldbuilding in general.
And most ppl aren’t even calling it “trash”. Just bland and forgettable
