The Wire season 4 does a good job painting a picture of the education system in Baltimore. I knew plenty of kids who got f***ed by the system, luckily I moved from Baltimore when I was 7.

This is a debate amongst scholars. A lot of them secretly believe in Eugenics and wouldn't matter where you put these kids.

What scholar in 2021 is arguing for eugenics?

Sam Harris, Jordan Peterson. That whole web of intellectuals or whatever.

They won't blantantly say they believe in Eugenics but they often bring up IQ differences in races

37% of Baltimore City students missed at least 10 percent of school

58% of students in Baltimore are low income, 10% have limited English-proficiency, and 15% have disabilities.

This comes to my next point even if they did decent at school, college is way too expensive for most of these families? What are they gonna do when they are 40k in debt.

I remember reading something about Pittsburg doing some program where if you like decent mark and high attendance they will give you good chunk money for scholarship at college, trade school or uni. I know it’s been huge success why don’t Baltimore do that?

Terrible. I wonder what the social work department looks like in their schools. I doubt they even have one, tbh.

Because Balt itself cant afford it

Its mainly a money and class thing all the way around, even its public schools are sorely behind in funding, equipment & teaching

  • Sounds like they need Prezbo
