4.44 is actually special and rises above those to me
but i stil wouldnt really consider it a classic tootbh first listen it was special but once i sat down with it months later i was like this is cool i guess but it lost its shine. awt is honestly better rapping and beats from him

Aftermathbws_It’s defiantly top 5. Can put his 3 classics above it. Only other ones are vol 1 and AG. You’re acting like it being top 5 is ridiculous. No way it’s lower than 6 even if you put AG and vol 1 over it
it is ridiculous lol. he raps much better on his previous albums til AG and those albums have higher highs. only song that i can consider even one of his best including deluxe songs off 444 is marcy me

It’s not just about “how he raps” though. The subject matter, cohesiveness and emotions on 4:44 lend to a better album that all but the ones I’ve mentioned. It’s not just about higher highs. With 4:44 he’s intentionally delivering the raps in that way for effect and it works well. Maybe you can’t play in in a club, but that’s not the point with every album

idc about subject matter as long as he isn't rapping about some random s*** like when it's the right time to pick strawberries i just need good flows bars beats etc. he has plenty of emotions and great storytelling across several albums that he did on this album a week ago song cry this cant be life etc.

Yes but half the dynasty is ass, most of volume 2 is ass and the other song you mentioned is off BP. Consistency is a big factor when you’re talking about good albums not just albums that have the occasional good/great song. Anyway agree to disagree

I think it’s a top 5 hip hop project of the decade, and I actually think it’s his third best album (always thought black album was overrated, sorry)
Production is excellent, lyrics are great, has substance without being pretentious or trying too hard. Not a single skip for me.

I disagree. A piece of art can be great, but without the recognition, it cannot be a classic. The whole point of the "classic" label is that it will be remembered forever/influenced a generation.
