@op you heard 2022 AOTY?
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw7Q19mtly0I've been putting it off because it's 2 hours long but I've heard good things
Speaking of soulful country...
One of the best records ever, Sly said Jim was the baddest white man in music.

really special album
i think hes becoming one of the biggest country artists, that album is the highest selling country album released in 2022. its long af but i think its consistent and just a really good blend of different country styles on a bit more of the americana and singer-songwriter side
you f*** with Tyler Childers?
i really need to peep more contemporary country artists, i'm surprised i've never heard of this guy. im a sucker for long albums so this definitely caught my attention
i do like Tyler Childers. i've only heard Country Squire from him though...any other albums i should check out from him?

Zach Bryan is definitely similar to Tyler Childers imo. Purgatory is my favorite album from Tyler. his 2022 album was decent but the concept was kinda weird (3 different versions of each song, some re-recordings)
the genre is in a really great place atm
My favorite country album:
!https://youtu.be/Lw_I_UpqVjMi haven't listened to this album as much as Nancy & Lee tbh, but it's still very solid imo
My favorite album of all time. Though it's probably not a very good choice to "get into" country. Voice of an angel.

Coat of Many Colors might be my fav country album . I feel like I return to it more often than any others.

Nancy and Lee is more up and down IMO whereas Cowboy in Sweden is more of a straight vibe from start to finish
any fans of that real dusty s***?
@op Morgan Wade is also such a promising new artist
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iK4u95thQn0amazing chorus
this is such a weird comparison, but the production reminds me of Rilo Kiley if they leaned more in the alt-country direction
i’m listening to Heavy Eyes right now @RVI
DAMN
