    The original isn’t English, gallant just made his own English version for BoA’s (who is a legend in k-pop) 20th anniversary, he put his own flair on it and everything as well, I was quite impressed tbh

    Makes a lot of sense that he wrote his cover though the lyrics are very very gallant-esque so I was surprised when I thought it was just a pure cover

    Ya he’s huge in South Korea I wonder if it’s because he likes K pop or just that his music resonates over there
    Either way he’s making smart moves by doing this stuff especially as k pop grows in the US

    downloaded the ep but just listened to real bad to get a feel for it
    It’s super nice I really like how it feels quite commercial but it doesn’t really conform to that current sound of r&b

    actually one of the main reasons i like em, he sounds like somethin that could be on the radio but maintains that organic “music in the basement” feel
