I don't need to wait for people, I AM calling it boring as f***. Drake's singing is monotonous. He has a very boring singing voice. The production he's singing on has to be interesting enough to mask that. Songs like Down Hill, Flight's Booked had effects/production that elevated his voice because they forced him to make an actual effort with his singing. Those two beats allegedly off the new album are mediocre as f*** with absolutely nothing happening in them and he just sounds like a nigga bored as hell being forced to make a song.
That's why many of the R&B moments on Scorpion fell flat - the production was too bare-boned to mask his monotonous singing.

Y’all gotta stop d*** riding EVERYTHING this nigga puts out. This is mid for a Drake melodic track like he’s great at this even as of recent (Flights Booked, Overdrive, Texts Go Green, Liability, etc) These songs sound so bland in comparison like come on

Okay since a lot of people don’t know how this works, i’ll try to explain it the best way I can. Songs are worked on and tweaked on until a few minutes before Drake releases the album. These are NOT final versions or anywhere near what we’d be hearing as the listener when the album drops. The beats are not final, the vocals are not final, the idea is.. an idea. Some of our favorite Drake songs would be songs we HATE if we heard in these stages of song making. Thats how music works for artist of this caliber. I promise you Drake knows what he’s doing lol. These songs most likely aren’t on the album and if they are, they are not on the album the way we are hearing them. So chill lol. The album is probably 16-18 songs and has so much being worked on and completed that we are in for a huge surprise.

We don't have to praise every single thing he does. He is allowed to miss the mark every once in a while (which he does). Doesn't mean we don't think he makes great music most of the time or that the album can't end up being great.

I understand you completely. All I’m saying is judging an unofficial leak like its the finished track is a little harsh lmao. Also who is the guy saying this is for that album lmao, he doesn’t know. No one but Drake knows anything about whats going on this project lol.
