Yup. Born and raised in Silk City.

Legit observed Fetty Wap when he was still buzzing before Trap Queen dropped but didn't meet him in person.

I grew up in Clifton, saw Fetty at a weird apartment party thing in Lodi and it turned out to be a video shoot right before Trap Queen dropped

    I heard about that!

Crazy how so many people from Paterson and Passaic are moving to Clifton.

It had a rep for being White suburbia when I was growing up but that's no longer the case...lol.

The night that the g unit album leaked at the same time as the black album was still the craziest leak day I've ever seen on any hip hop site

Travis might've surpassed this in 2020. Sony/PlayStation, Fortnite, McDonalds, Nike/Jordan, feel like I'm missing some.

My cousins in Albania thought that 50 cent and Eminem were the biggest gangsters in the world. These dudes were huge outside North America

This thread is a gem. Reading through it really took me back. The early to mid 00โ€™s was a very special time for music.

50 was a cultural phenom. He took the streets of NY to global success. Eminem was probably the only artist bigger than him at the time. Even my grandma knew lyrics to his songs. That man was inescapable. TBH I donโ€™t even think Drake reached prime 50โ€™s level of celebrity.
