Plenty of young talent moving into NYC, LA, and SF.

Ofc, because those have been the hubs for years, but there has also been a trend of people trying to "covert" southern cities into be the "next silicion valley" with the most notable being Austin, TX and the "talent" is taking notice and are following. There are other reasons like tax kickbacks and real estate but I'm lazy.

Biden truthfully won't do s*** and you won't even notice his presidency unless he dies in office. His whole campaign message has been "return to status quo" which is code for "return to nulling you with manipulated media to bore you away from politics". Trump isnt better at all but at least the hatred people have for him forces people to keep up with whats going on politically more often

This might sound ignorant but I wouldn’t mind being bored away from politics by having a career politician in office and not having to worry about a psychopath as president

You actually think people are going to prefer meeting up online over in person events ?

People are only doing it right now so they can stay safe and keep others safe, a majority of people do not enjoy doing things online over in person.

What does landlords have to do with real estate ? I'm talking about rich people want to live in NYC and buy properties. You literally said there is no reason for rich people to live in NYC and that is just flat out wrong.

Also a studio is affordable with $100k a year rent, not sure why you're making things up and saying $200k can't get you a studio.

Let's ignore the fact that there are plenty of great neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn that are also much more affordable.

So much fake news you're sharing fam.

Ok, so you think people are going to prefer to move to bad neighborhoods just to have to use poor transit in order to work meanial jobs? Yeah i bet. I also bet those elusive rich people are going to buy those overpriced buildings with no upkeep in a s***ty location because theh can put New York in their postcards

And how is that "young talent" going to get a job when they have to pay for 1400/month rent minimum and 300+ a month in expenses while clawwing at a minimum wage job with a degree in the hopes that one day they enter the market their degree is meant for with a s***-ton of other candidates?

A lot of the talent he's referring to don't actually live in the cities they work in because they can't afford it and instead take public transit into it. Like a lot of people who work in NYC actually live in Jersey.

Obviously working class and poor people will get f***ed over, like they currently are. But they aren't going to be paying more taxes. This conversation was literally about rich people, why are you talking about other brackets now ?

    How could they not be?

Look at the market over the last 10 years... We, the average idiot, are the ones who always weather the storms.

Ok, pontiac no longer exists, jobs were lost... GM is doing fine tho. Im the sure lifestyle of the CEOs hasnt changed a bit.

You said "young talent is moving to NYC" as if that is going to help the market when it isnt, and im telling you why it isnt. No matter if they live in the city or on the outskirts the truth of the matter is simple supply and demand. If the "rich" or upper middle class have to pay more then they won't be giving more, and those cuts start at new hires.

Capital gains affects everyone that saves and invests their money. If you also don’t think your personal taxes will go up too, you’re crazy.

But doesnt that not only affect people who passed the 400k threshold
