I think the 90s is arguably the best decade. Once you start looking at all of the legendary artists that debuted and dropped multiple influential classics in the era, it really starts to separate itself from the rest quickly. Even if we go to R&B, the 90s might be the best era
90s R&B was the best decade for contemporary r&b easily
70s was the best decade for soul though
Wayne 50 n kanye enough said
Wayne got his start in the 90s though an Hot Boys were a classic era
I say this as I've been bumping Clipse, M.I.A., and El-P for the last 30 minutes
Hip hop in general just so fire

True but I meant his peak
True but I meant his peak
Wayne clearly hit his prime in the 2000s but Mannie Fresh in the 90s was a problem
T.i. aint got an album better than Luda's Red Light
Game and 50 debut albums alone did more than T.I.s whole discog
CamRon impact & run more crazy than T.I.
Eminem sold way more than T.I.
Kanye more impactful and consistent than T.I.

T.I.'s impact probably a little higher than Cam if we're being honest
Can't ignore the significance of "Trap Muzik" but other than that and "King." the rest of his discography is pretty forgettable
carter 3 and recession dropped in 2008, those 2 albums are enough for me to always say 00's > 10's
MBDTF, Yeezus, Take Care, IYRTITL exist though
It's my opinion nigga relax
90's were great but I wasn't old enough to appreciate music in general until I got about 10 in 2002 so I mean
that's when I fell.in love with rap & r&b
Do you know that everybody will think the best music ever released was in their adolescence and post adolescence?
Do you know that everybody will think the best music ever released was in their adolescence and post adolescence?
That’s not true when you got a lot of people who prefer and enjoy music from when they weren’t even born or were already an adult
1994-2004 is prolly the best 10 year stretch in hip hop. most of the 90's up until the early 2000's was a big peak in hip hop music.
every decade is valid and great and it makes no sense to pick out one because they had flaws and positives in each of them
The 2000s had a lot of classics but also a lot of garbage
Like lets not let nostalgia blind us and act like a majority of snap/crunk/bling music from this era wasnt trash
90s and 2010s were way more consistent imo
