I owe a debt of gratitude to Hip Hop and how black American culture have changed my life as a dude from the islands. I don’t know if black folk (not from the US) say this enough.
A major part of my life is hip hop and I’m very thankful.

Hip hop truly changed the world. Y'all ever listen to like...radio or movies from the 50s, 60s, 70s? Or watch sporting events and listen to the way the people talked back then. Hip hop changed everything. The culture in America rn is black/hip hop culture. New words, new way of talking, new music, new styles. White people dominated American culture pre hip hop--now hip hop culture rules basically the entire world.
