To an extent because it ruined some credibility he had as a rapper. Plus the whole ghostwriter label was put solely on him for years with people questioning what he’s writing and what he isn’t.
I think he’s done well to distance himself from it but it’s definitely effected his rapping legacy
i think its funny how jay never caught as much flack for having ghostwriters as compared to drake - maybe cuz this was the internet age
also - would anyone agree that personally - drake felt the effect of addidon diss a lot more than the meek mill beef? Bro kinda stopped talking about being no 1 in the game for a while lol
i’d say kinda people bring it up as a slight against him but people who actually take the time know he’s actually a talented writer
I honestly couldn't care less about the ghostwriting stuff. There is not a single soul in rap or otherwise that is 100% self made. Niggas draw inspiration from others in various ways.
The Meek beef affected him much, much more than the Pusha beef ever did or could.
People will still mention that he probably didn't write it when he drops something hard, even if it's obvious that he did. People will still say Quentin "Ghost Wrote" for him, even though he was credited.
The Meek narrative severely hurt his credibility in Hip-Hop, and what makes a great Emcee.
The bottom line though, is that the people that still spread this never liked him in the first place. I don't think anyone switched sides after hearing them or reading into the Meek beef. I think the people that still talk that s*** would've tried to discredit him in any way they could if this never surfaced.
The people who care about this as much as they do don't understand how the music industry works.

Neither of those situations affected Drake's legacy/career. You just answered the question. It didn't affect him. All the GOATs who Drake respects and f***s with also f*** him as a rapper. None of them give a f*** about any ghostwriting claims because they all understand how that side of the industry works. Drake fans don't care. The general public doesn't care. Even the people who act like they care don't, they just bring it up to try to discredit Drake but even that doesn't hit anymore because you try to use that to take a dig at Drake online and you'll just get clowned. Drake has released WATTBA, Views, More Life, Scorpion, Care Package, DLDT, CLB, HN and Her Loss since working with QM for that brief period back in 2015. He has written entire songs for other artists. There is zero doubt he can write and does write most of his stuff so anyone bringing that up is someone who would have easily found something else to take a dig at him otherwise. That doesn't mean it's affected his legacy in any way. It hasn't.

It affected the YouTube comments is what I was trying to get at lmao

Oh? Well, that and the hip-hop Twitter bros but those people never f***ed with Drake anyways and their opinions don't matter lmao. A few weeks ago, a GOAT debate was had on Twitter and while most people admitted to having Jay Z as their GOAT, most people couldn't deny Drake's case as the #2 guy in that regard and he'll end his career as the #1 guy in that regard because there are people who are in their teens/20s/30s now who have listened to Drake most/all of their lives who see him as their GOAT, even if only just off the sheer dominance he's had on the game in the last 14 years and how immaculate his catalog is.
It'll definitely be interesting seeing the conversations had around Drake's legacy when it's all said and done. I feel like it's hard to really have those discussions because he's still very much on a run and hasn't ever slowed down. He'd need to at least go on a considerable hiatus for people to take full account of all he's done and give him his proper due.
