Ight so admittedly I don't have as much of a grasp on the Frank standom but a lot of Frank stans I've met are really emotionally immature and just terrible dating partners and I think they see Frank's emotional vulnerability on his records as a simulacrum for their own emotional immaturity, filtering their emotional shortcomings through the lens of being "vulnerable and imperfect", and thus clutch to Frank's music as a medium to justify their s***ty dating histories, which is weird bc Frank is so genuinely tender in his music and these folks are just softboys
