This is a good ass time so far. Especially the scenes with both Dunk and Egg. That scene with Tanselle was cute as hell.

Not necessarily sad but the main conflict will probably start toward the end of this episode and it’ll kickstart the main plot for the rest of the show

i did audible for knight of the seven kingdoms and i can’t recommend enough, the novellas are fun a pretty perfect manageable portions of and the reading is great.. i think it’s on libby too

I had zero interest in this after they fumbled HotD, but the reviews and word of mouth were positive so I gave it a shot.

I'm really enjoying it so far. It's so... casual? Like buddy is just your average joe, having average interactions. There aren't any high stakes (so far) and it doesn't have that je ne sais quois of GoT of HotD where everything is dead serious (for the most part) and there's a lingering cynicism.

And yet it very much feels like a part of the Westeros world. Just a different, refreshing side.

watched the first two episodes and really enjoyed them. lower stakes fantasy is just what I needed. I especially love the soundtrack this time around as well.

the first season of these shows is always good enough to draw you in

That statement only applies to Game of Thrones.

George already finished all of the source material for House of the Dragon. The issues with that show is that Ryan Condal decided to stray away from the source material. That show having a decline in season 2 wasn’t George’s fault.

And this show has 3 completed stories for them to adapt. Time will tell if they decide to continue the show after season 3 though
