I love how our hero f***ing sucked immediately and he suffered excruciating injury but still won
so satisfying

Episode 5 was really in line with the ethos of Game of Thrones which is like don't do a noble thing ever, be entirely self-serving or else you will f***ing die
RIP Baelor
Not true at all, all episodes have scenes without sunk in it including when the targarian prince saw the girl doing the dragon and knight play, same for scenes of the targarians discussing dunk etc
This is dunk focused but NOT pov
the first example is from the squire which i mentioned as a purposeful pov shift to egg, the second Dunk is there and looking at them right? The Arlen stuff is Dunk’s recollection of dude, his d*** may not have been that big lol.
Idk it’s not important but the novella is locked and i provided the interview with the showrunner saying it was their intention. i don’t recall them breaking that rule but sure
finale? What the f*** is the title talk about. Pleasse dont be true
That's why it's so good. If it was 10 episodes an hour long each it would be zzzzz

I haven't read the novella but it does seem like he died and was resurrected by the seven. Arlan saves him as a boy "in the name of the mother". The trial by combat is under the seven. He has a purpose. Same as some characters who die and come back in the main series

I've never read anything about the Dunk and Egg stuff. Everything I said is in the show we're both watching. Seems like fair game?

Bro got stabbed so many times the coward Targaryen probably started to regret not accepting the head on challenge

Real meat and potatoes s*** without all the political meetings every episode from house of the dragon
Ngl I just wrote like 1500 words on characters who have died and come back to life in the main series and I'm not posting that.
To summarize though, it's typically either the old gods, the drowned gods, the light, mad science (death), or the faceless man (also death?). It's hard to separate them at times and there's overlap and combinations of two or more. An example would be someone who wargs to escape death but is resurrected by a fire priest. Dunk is frequently associated with the 7, but shooting star on his shield presages the red comet which reawakens the magic in the world during ASOIAF and is associated with the light.
Good finale, it was definitely mostly meant to set up Dunk and Egg’s future adventures, nothing wrong with that though
