So. i’m severely autistic. a lot of people can’t I guess to say tell but its like bad. I have moments of not understanding things at all and many things can be genuinely hard for me to do. i’ve been working again (quit my last job cause we were VERY understaffed) and now i’m working at wendys. its nice the people are nice and its good but I feel the same way in which it’s overwhelming in a sense of theres a lot of micromanaging when it comes to closing and it can boggle the f*** out of my brain. I was scheduled from 8(pm)-12:30 but I just got off not even 30 minutes ago at 3 am. I want to ask if I could just leave at my scheduled time everyday (I walk home and I live in like “niggas have confederate flags on their cars” racist town) but i’m scared if I do i’ll lose my job and I guess i’m. stressed. I’m lost and I don’t know what to do and I feel like I’m not gonna find something sustainable in my life to like make money and chill and s***. I don’t expect an answer but I guess I want advice.

it is done at 12:30 am. I am scheduled to close but anytime after 12:30 is overtime

I f*** with everyone there so far very cool group of people a lot of younger people 17-30+ oldest person at most is 41 so I can genuinely like converse with people there but as well i’m scared to I guess sour the relationship? i’m hoping my boss understands but after my last job in which I was promised a new position after threatening to quit and then going through a week of hell there and just packing it up, I guess my job mood with like managers and s*** is even more soured than it was

I hope so despite being a very very bold and out spoken person I ironically enough have avoidant personality disorder (i think I do at least especially looking back atw a lot of things in my life) so if I feel like something will throw me into an annoying or very stressful situation I try to find another way/subconsciously avoid it

I know what this is like I do the same, but I've found that dealing with stuff instead of delaying and avoiding will always make for better results don't rush things out tho

don’t be scared to leave a job early if you find something you like more, it’s the better choice a lot of the time.

I agree with just talking to the manager about it though, they usually pretty chill about that. you not really required to stay past your time anyways (most cases )

see if you can get into some sort of freelancing where you can work at your own pace and maybe work 1-2 days part time doing something easy

also look into working from home, lots of jobs out there where you just need to help file documents

If you want to get into video editing you can try looking at sites like Fiverr or w/e but that's freelance. Might be worth building a portfolio/showreel of your work, then sending that to studios in TV & Film or media companies and applying for internships or entry level jobs. Beyond that, you might be better off looking for an admin/data entry job if you want normal working hours and something that isn't overwhelming.

Have you thought about learning a trade? They pay a lot better than fast food/costumer service jobs and they have less interaction with people

I draw very I guess to say “goofy art” i’ve been making a comic lately when I cone with ideas and its nice. I guess my twitter would be a good place but I don’t have like a full dedicated to it atm sadly

been trying to find stuff like telemarketing but no luck sadly it was the thing I wanted but even remote positions seen limited

You should consider starting one. You don’t have to have a huge catalog of art to get started. Just post what you’re comfortable with sharing, even if it’s only 1/2/3 pics a year. I’ve been dragging my feet with posting my own work but I’ve started doing it lately and feels good, although I’m still a beginner.

Also, try brushing up your film/photo editing skills and trying to acquire work with that. Like the other guy mentioned, there’s plenty of freelancing sites. It’ll make good side money if nothing else. Have you ever thought of that?
