Dany is in parts unknown with the dothraki surrounding her
Aegon has taken Storms end, preparing to face Mace Tyrell in batle

Jon is "dead"
Arya is in Braavos training and still is during Winds
Sansa is in the vale doing who the f*** knows as LF schemes (and plots to retake Winterfell for Sansa)
Bran is in a tree
Rickon is on Skaagos

Tyrion is by Mereen I think, with the second sons (and Jorah)
Cersei is awaiting her trial
Jaime is going with Brienne where something will happen with Lady Stoneheart
Tommne is king
Myrcella is going back to kings landing

Theon is captured by Stannis, likely to die soon.
Yara also captured by Stannis.
Victarion is in Mereen with the fleet and dragon horn
Euron about to battle the redwyne fleet and hightowers

Sam is at the citadel

Stannis is preparing for battle
Davos is going to Skagos to get Rickon

Arianne is going to meet with Aegon I believe,
Tyene is going undercover as a spy
Nymeria is going to Kings landing
Obara I forget

And then there's all the f***ing side plots and s***

And in two books not only does he have to give all those characters listed above and more logical ends, he also has to build up the walkers even more. And in two books lmao

Yeah this s*** is never coming. Figured that for a while but looking at the state of the characters its much more obvious

i'm not anticipating it anymore since we already know how everything important will turn out. and chances are grrm will pull a quentyn in the future books with some other unnecessary characters as well(just because at this point he is addicted to creating new characters and places)

however, i believe if winds does not come out this year grrm has actually no intention of ever releasing the books. or if he does, he will release them posthumously

Finish the show first cause otherwise you'll just be pissed off from all the changes/problems

read the books before season 1 was done, started seasons 2-3 with ideas already implanted. Didn't like the changes so stopped.

Watched the show years ago but recently bought the first book. I am aware of most of the changes but I'll take this downtime to catch up on the series fully.

on clash of kings now bout 320 pages deep

the book to show quality diff is crazzzzyyyy even this early in the series

I'm on my 2nd reread of the series, and I'm 500 pages in to A Feast For Crows

This might be my 2nd favorite in the series now, which is interesting because it used to be my least favorite
