  • This was the modern day equivalent of how it felt when we lost Pac/Biggie my g.

It STILL does not feel remotely right.

And all because of some goddamn bullshit hood politics man. I f***ing hate this s*** yo.

  • You get abused long enough, you start abusing s***
She flipped the script and now your woman calling you a b****
You got some problems in the house that only you can fix
And if you was a kid that grew up with it even you would split
He told the world he was a star and he gonna need a stage
Cause life is short and talk is cheap so f*** what people say
When he was 12 a crazy lady told him lead the way
He shed a tear cause it was real and swore to never stray

When you was doing certain...unnoble things at the time and hearing this verse for the 1st time. Man.

    F***ing dammit my g.

Nigga I legitimately genuinely don’t give a single solid f*** about Nipsey Hustle corny ass, and neither did any of you before he died.

I’ve loss hella family members to the streets. Y’all can’t relate to s*** like that and it’s evident.

Don’t get me wrong, It’s sad and f***ed that he got whacked, but I hate how y’all suddenly act as if this nigga was Jesus Christ mixed with Jay-Z

Fake love is worst than real hate smh

you wouldnt be in here tryna talk s*** if you actually lost anyone you cared about to the streets but ok

crenshaw is/was such a special project to me man. remember coming across it in school on accident, and it legit changed my life hearing this mans raps. about to run that all day

dude made 100 dollar tapes, and jay z bought a hundred of them. still offered the music for free, but included tour tickets, merch and physicals. he knew almost 10 years ago already how things would be and what artists would really make money with.
dude included a steve jobs speech on a tape as a rapper from the hood. he was like tupac with an entrepeneurial twist for financial empowerment.

Look, this ain't entertainment, it's for niggas on the slave ship
These songs just the spirituals, I swam against them waves with
Ended up on shore to their amazement
Now I hope the example I set's not contagious
Lock us behind gates but can't tame us
Used to be stay safe, now it's stay dangerous
'Cause ain't no point in playing defense nigga
That's why I dove off the deep end nigga
    Without a life jacket
Couple mil, tour the world, dogg my life crackin'
Cook the books, bring it back so it's no taxes
Royalties, publishing, plus I own masters
I'll be damned if I slave for some white crackers
I was mappin' this out, I hit the heist backwards
Hoppin' out the eighty-five in Reebok classics
Ran a couple marathons just to get established
To make it happen, you got to have it

crazy the boss moves he was making so early on. i thought the nigga was crazy then to do such a thing, but in today's climate, looking back it was genius. and at the end of the day, you let the music do the talking

i grew up in germany, and lived 2 years in LA. i drove past the marathon store every day for work. i connected with nip because of the city, and felt his music heavy.
i had moved back when i got the news he died, and it was such a surreal feeling, knowing he was shot right where i always drove by
