Ngl I thought Sexy Beast was good not great and that Under The Skin was one of the most potent snoozers I've experienced

Sexy Beast is just mad fun, from the montage to the script and the characters acting the script out

Under The Skin really hit me hard emotionally and the visual language was creative. What a vibe

This is one of those movies that’s boring when you’re watching it and then the end hits you and the cumulative effect of everything catches up to you and you think about all the imagery and it feels like a dream

This might be one of the most powerful endings to a film I’ve ever seen

the cut back from the holocaust museum to the empty black hallway gonna stick with me.

also makes me think so much about the contrast of boring banal bureaucracy and unthinkable evil that the film is centred around. its a great final point and distillation of the film as a whole

Stalin on the flip side says that one death is a tragedy and a million is a statistic. This film packs in the ambient perturbance and searing loss of humanity. Yet Glazer did it again. Contemplative, but wholly unsettling. One of the best for sure.

Tried watching Birth on the weekend and would've required some of those eyelid stretchers from Clockwork Orange to finish it. Under The Skin was the same.
