Love this film.
Might be my favorite of the year.
Got Suzanne Son version of Bye Bye Bye on repeat.
My theory is that Mikey represents the liberal media with the way he disregards and looks down on the people of Texas.
That might sound like a stretch but this is clearly a political film with the 2016 election stuff in the background.
this was a very dirty little movie. loved it tho.
also Ayo it’s a whole family watching this together in the middle row this ain’t a family zoovie
Driving back home thinking bout how I’m glad I watched this one in theaters
Yeah forshur it’s a puzzling ending.
The Florida Project ending seemed really clear and perfect to me, this ones a lot more mysterious.
Fam only tag me if this s*** leaks
I liked this more than licorice pizza ngl
only comparing them cause they both got pedo vibes
i hate living on long island, films like these only show in the city
Make the trip worth it
this the only movie I watched this year that I wanted to rewatch again immediately.
if it gets a wider release in jan im def going again.

This is what I wrote in my Letterboxd review:
“The ending of The Florida Project shows how we use fantasy as an escape from hell. The ending of Red Rocket seems to imply that hell is where you end up when you’ve lost yourself in fantasy.”
ngl this grew on me a bit a little over a week after seeing it. i'm still not in love with it, but my review right as the credits popped up until now has changed a good amount
