I liked this tbh but not as much as I expected to. Sebastian Stan is electric throughout and I love his shift in performance as it goes on. Never is he acting the same tone throughout. I also loved Adam Pearson, so incredibly charming and natural on screen. I thought the first and second act were the strongest while the third act started to feel repetitive and also ends kind of abruptly. The film has a great balance of bleakness and comedy which reminded me of last years Dream Scenario, which I also had a similar issue with its ending. Both characters are sympathetic and yet they also chose to make selfish choices. Even with my issues I still found it to be very enjoyable and I think the performances alone make it a movie worth watching

The music in this is so good too. Almost like a 30s horror frankenstein type motif which cleverly contrasts with the plot.

i knew these twins who sold weed in college who lived w their older/og homie from their hometown and that dude had the same kinda weird disfigured face too. was pretty trippy to look at dudes face on shrooms ngl.

absolutely not. he was like in his mid 20s and in some asian gang and would try so hard to look cool in front us (a bunch of college kids) and would try to intimidate us/get us to “respect” him or whatever (he was kinda scary tho even tho he was tiny af)

Noticed there are a few showings this weekend so I got one for tomorrow

I f***ed with this movie personally because it was very relatable for me. But on a cinematic level I didn’t think it was as good as I wanted it to be so a solid 3 1/2 for me. It was like they couldn’t land the ending and like you didn’t know who to like.
