when i choose to see the good side of things
im not being naive
it is strategic and necessary.
its how i learned to survive through everything.
i feel like i didnāt understand the message of this movie. like it was entertaining but iām a little confused and have a few diff ideas. iāll have to rewatch.
I donāt think thereās anything overtly hidden about the message. Part of the reason I love the film is because of its simplicity. If you extract all of the incredibly nut ass visuals and ancillary elements that seemingly just explode your senses through out the film, itās really just a simple story about a mother learning to let go and accept her daughter for who she is and in the process, learning to accept herself and the totally and wholly unique life sheās been given. Itās a really beautiful story told in the most absolutely bonkers way possible
This is the first time in a long time Iāve heard the theatre audience laugh at the jokes in the movie

love this. i think exactly the same, and even parts of it can be even simplified to just generally, enjoy life, the highs and the lows. weāll only ever remember slim parts of it all, but the parts we do we must cherish.
SZAās tweet about this movie reminded me that I need to watch this. Luckily a theater close to my crib is still playing it, so me n my girl high as f*** gonna go see it in 30 mins

i get that completely. i think i went into it expecting some philosophical mind-blowing revelation type of overriding themes, leading up to seeing this it was taking over my tik tok fyp and it was either people crying or talking about how the movie changed their lives, no in between. but that's probably just marketing lol
This was soooo good
Deeply meaningful but didnāt take itself seriously at all, yet didnāt feel corny. Beautiful film
The wide release for this
question: did all the action we see take place in the original universe? or not
āI saw my life without you, you should have seen it, it was wonderful.ā
Yet when she saw him in that suit everything else stopped
