i feel like i didn’t understand the message of this movie. like it was entertaining but i’m a little confused and have a few diff ideas. i’ll have to rewatch.

I don’t think there’s anything overtly hidden about the message. Part of the reason I love the film is because of its simplicity. If you extract all of the incredibly nut ass visuals and ancillary elements that seemingly just explode your senses through out the film, it’s really just a simple story about a mother learning to let go and accept her daughter for who she is and in the process, learning to accept herself and the totally and wholly unique life she’s been given. It’s a really beautiful story told in the most absolutely bonkers way possible

This is the first time in a long time I’ve heard the theatre audience laugh at the jokes in the movie

love this. i think exactly the same, and even parts of it can be even simplified to just generally, enjoy life, the highs and the lows. we’ll only ever remember slim parts of it all, but the parts we do we must cherish.

i get that completely. i think i went into it expecting some philosophical mind-blowing revelation type of overriding themes, leading up to seeing this it was taking over my tik tok fyp and it was either people crying or talking about how the movie changed their lives, no in between. but that's probably just marketing lol

    This was soooo good

Deeply meaningful but didn’t take itself seriously at all, yet didn’t feel corny. Beautiful film

I wanna recommend this to my mom but the d****s n all the other gory stuff they have to do in order to jump from different realities would be too much for her to handle
