getting through a second watch now, and yea still as great as i thought it was. there were some slight continuity issues with the multiverse, but i don’t consider them to take away from anything really.

and i get this movie is almost surface level to a point, but man i love that part about it so much. not everything needs to be shrouded in metaphors and symbolism, sometimes the best stories give it to you just how it is.

All the praise for this and Midsommar never connected with me. I understand folks have subjective experiences, but all the explanations of them never sound completely through.

If you are familiar with Asian cinema (more specifically Japanese), you know the absurdity they have put on film. This movie was kind of tame compared to what I have watched. But most general audiences aren't exposed to that.
