JonzThis movie is definitely one of those "if you know you know" experiences. So I can understand when someone doesn't fully connect with it.
However, if you are someone who has experienced existential dread, and eventually found comfort in absurdism, this film will speak to you in an unparalleled way. Watching it in the theater was a magical experience for me personally.
On point. I can see how people would be turned off by some of the more silly and juvenile parts of the movie
But the near-universal themes of immigrant families, measuring up to your parent's expectations, making up for lost time, and the love and adoration we have for mothers who gave it all overshadow that for me. I tear up watching this film every time. Well deserved win.

chachi teatimes i felt like the comedy in this movie was a miss for me but it's a great film with original screenplay that's still worth a watch
The movie is probably good, but found it difficult to see that way cause of the distracting bad comedy
