I get thinking its overrated dont get me wrong. Similiar to I get hating resurrections but a year later especially in this case for a original property thats not going to make sequels? Are you that mad exist or just feel its so derivative of "rick and morty". Do you feel any rick and morty episode or the entire season has executed anything this well ?

Even saying āthis wellā is insane because this is truly nothing more than a slightly above average movie to me. Iām not impressed by literally anything in it.

I get that but I think many understand that your perspective is it is bad or doesn't do it well. I respect you think Rick and Morty clears this. I cherish this more than rick and morty. To each their own. I guess when Rick and Morty comes up I get confused because can't both exist? There is no way you think Rick and Morty can or will be the only iteration of family drama and multiple dimensions ( or delusions of them )

my out there out there take is the multiverse even canon in this movie ? Or is it just a way she finally processes her reality, her divorce, her suicidal , her dad her daughter and their disconnect . How much her life has hit a rut? Is her Daughter really Jobu Tupaki?
The whole movie starts to get weird when she receives the divorce paper and the taxes. She essentially reaches a breaking point and since she is so anti joy and fun (against the googly eyes) we go on the tale.
Is the tale meant for really any part of it to be taken literally? To that degree
If all of that is supposed to be a metaphor, then Iām even less of a fan than previously.

The whole verse-jumping idea is more than enough of an original and valid spin on it IMO
You saying that Marvel s*** now but when this came out, everyone of this movie fans couldnāt keep Dr Strange out of their mouth

Matrix 4 confirmed 10/10 lol every time a remake, live action adaptation or sequel is announced Matrix Resurrections goes up .1 so IGN 4/10 is already a 10/10 with inflation

The interpretation of "its rick and morty reddit humor" is just like okay I get that you got that out of it. Are you mad others had an emotional connection to the movie outside of that lens? No one is saying this movie should connect with everyone or needs to. Its not universally praised. All critics have their own free will and much of this movie wasn't critic bait or something you would even think they would watch. If you think this is derivative of "rick and morty and marvel movies" I respect thats your take and I get that.

What is pseudo intellectual about an IRS agent with a buttplug award, hotdog fingers, explaining an everything bagel. Its 99% of the time is not trying to be deep. The whole movie is an allegory for feeling dead inside or wanting to die when too much is going on in reality. The movie is more about Suicide, existentialism and Nihilism , Divorce from loved one and yourself. then eventually reality to cope to escape. Feeling of loneliness. it has 2 hours on the clock or so (goes a lil long ) , limited budget and accomplishes something without ever needing or wanting to create a sequel

Very good question. I think the problem isnāt that people had an emotional connection but that people are using their emotional connection to validate a movie that others do not think is that good.
