Well because there’s that middle ground (that I think a lot of artists that aint superstars but were bubbling have found that we just say “fell off” but they might be ideal) where you have the money but not necessarily the fame.
I get the Rock and even Hov’s POV but believe me it would depress the s*** out of me to not be able to go to my fav gardens or walk through my fav parks anymore if hypothetically a nigga was to get that famous.
I always think of that one Spongebob episode
Like (and even when I was younger) watching mtv cribs I always thought “yo this looks like it would be annoying as hell to clean up.”
I don't think fame is an awful experience. I realize that in many moments, you lose out on the anonymous, everyman experience, but to an extent that's the price you pay to be exceptional in your field

Say that to the celebrities that got addicted to d**** and/or killed themselves because of it
Matter of perspective. But also lil baby comes off like a pretty boring person tho
Also idt anyone is saying being broke is the best way to be, but a middle ground versus living in excess/pimp my ride type status doesnt seem too bad.
I think it’s best to get the most money you can get

Doesnt seem like the most spiritually fulfilling to do playboi.

It depends. You gotta keep in mind a lot of the rich and famous people that talk about how they are depressed or whatever would probably be like that regardless.
Someone like Kanye who’s neurodivergent would have episodes even if he wasn’t famous. Then you got dudes like Michael Jordan who’s chill as hell

Michael Jordan the gambling addict?
Everyone has at least one vice bro
i can agree, especially in LA. Most have no real personality and it was hard for me to network when im generally a nerd about s***, and i really cant understand what alot of successful ppl be on when it comes to what i love. which is arts and world culture.
I cant speak for all rich people cause ive heard some are genuinely cool. But trying to network tryna get ahead in music was def held back by me not relating to anyone i met, or ppl just not understanding me in general
a privileged, isolated problem for sure, and simply dont have the social skills to leverage that s***.
that has more to do with my luck too. but s*** its my experience with hanging with rich people who care alot about how rich they are.

this might sound f***ed up & you have every right to disagree
I think a lot of creative, unconventional, left-of-centre people who get famous and fall into d**** were already prone to things like depression & addiction just due to things like genetics & personality

"Jackson Pollock's father, LeRoy, was a government land surveyor and a farmer, according to Biography. As per Simon Whistler's Biographics, LeRoy Pollock was born LeRoy McCoy, but after he lost both his parents at a very young age, he was adopted by his neighbors, the Pollocks. Unfortunately, LeRoy Pollock was a violent alcoholic, and he abused his family frequently.
Jackson Pollock might have been known for his alcoholism in the 1940s, but his struggles with mental health had begun long before that. According to Biography, Pollock was a needy child, and he often felt neglected or ignored by his mother. After his father left, Pollock became very close to his older brother, Charles, who was also an artist. (In fact, Charles was the one who inspired Pollock to enter the New York art world in 1930.) But even when living with Charles as an adult, Pollock exhibited clear signs of mental illness.
As Biographics points out, a letter between two of Pollock's brothers emphasizes very evident psychological instability in Pollock, and his troubled childhood was mentioned as the source of these problems. According to York University's Trauma and Mental Health Report, Pollock showed clear signs of bipolar disorder alongside his lifelong problem with alcoholism. In 1937, Pollock started psychiatric treatment for his alcohol addiction. A year, later, he was institutionalized following a nervous breakdown (via Britannica). "
"Man, I ain't lying, I ain't have no parents

Sippin' on the alcohol, coke up in his nose
Rock up in his pipe
Then he had me, I was f***ed up for life
But, I had had musical talent
These niggas faker than that wrist thing, power the balance"
"In the pitch of darkness, my heart is haunted, could you save me?, cause maybe I’m scared, stuck in shambles, I’m cracking, my soul ain’t breathing no air, all addiction was ever did, was add addiction to the monster that lies with-inside, and all I wanted was a peace of mind, cause the songs ain’t working this time"
Ferg dad was a label dude tho, I think he doesn't NOT come from money
Not to say his perspective is BS or whatever
His dad was a shirtprinter
