To sum up my thoughts after a day with this album, if I gotta critique it by the content I’m hearing, then it’s solid. But if I do critique it based on the context (8 year wait, delays, studio sessions with earl, rxk nephew, fatman scoop, slick rick, john maus, ariel pink, SGP and tommy wright that magically disappeared, rihanna right there for a hook) then I’m kinda underwhelmed.

As much as rocky likes to flex being this creative genius that can’t give a damn about the business of it all, I feel like he always ends up picking the safer options for his albums. It makes sense to follow Testing with something a little safer but it has been 8 yrs man u could do whatever I want a full psyched out album from bro

every time I listen to testing i straight up feel like the divisiveness of it outweighs how interesting it even is, like yeah big swing to a degree, middling results imo, he can definitely do better, alright back to what I was doing, you got niggas calling it the future of music & the worst album ever lmao
