It still hurts my heart, I was 17 when The High Life came out and I randomly came across it loved that project. Plus we were the same age... then he dropped KIDS and I knew he was special.

I honestly can’t go back to his discog yet. I can’t see a celebrity death hitting me like this ever again. Just an amazing guy with positive vibes and energy, being one of the only white guys who blended in with the culture without being corny with it. That beat switch on 100 Grandkids used to make me euphoric, now it makes me depressed.

Graduating when KIDS came out and it songs like Senior Skip Day. We played that song to death. And yeah it hit me really hard and I think it’s because of the nostalgia, experiences we had with his music.

Like Peep dying f***ed me up but he was younger I didn’t have the same connection like I did with Mac.

Same with when Prince and Bowie died. I f***ing love both of them so much but I didn’t grow up with those artists.

I felt like I grew with Mac from goofy school kid to an adult who battled some real demons.
